Dr. Orive is currently Associate Professor in the department of Automatic control and Systems engineering at the Higher Technical Engineering School, Bilbao (University of the Basque Country). He is author and co-author of more than 40 technical documents in conference proceedings and international journals. He has been part of over 30 research projects funded by national and European RD programs, and has over 20 years of experience in industrial automation, real-time control systems, distributed systems and industrial communication. He has also been a reviewer for several conferences and technical journals, and is a member of the scientific associations ISA and CEA-IFAC.
