3PRS Parallel Robot: powered by 3 direct-drive linear motors (Omron), this robot reaches high accelerations in three-degrees-of-freedom (translation and rotation axis z axes x and y). The robot control system is fully developed by the research group in an industrial computer (National Instruments PXI), allowing the integration of additional sensors for testing advanced control strategies.
MiniDelta Robot, Omron: It is based on the Delta parallel robot structure patented by Clavel with 3 translational degrees of freedom. The robot has an integrated Omron SYSMAC controller that manages the movement of the three motors of the robot via EtherCAT. The open architecture of the controller allows its use as a test bench for different control algorithms.
